March 4:  Mars enters Cancer.  The planet of action enters the cardinal sign of security and opposes transformative Pluto during the first week of March. Passions run deep and intense emotions spring to the surface. Discretion is the better part of valor in our relationships during the final weeks of the winter season.

 

March 7:  New Moon in Pisces. This month’s New Moon closely conjoins transiting Uranus in Pisces signaling that change is in the air as outmoded structures clearly no longer serve our personal and collective needs.  Yes, there certainly must be better ways and means to accomplish goals that are worth pursuing for all concerned.

 

March 12-14:  Venus and Mercury enter Pisces.  Vulnerability and compassion slowly return as Venus steps from the sign of the warrior into the sign of selfless service. This is a good time to make peace and mend fences after the fireworks of the Mars/Pluto opposition. Mercury will join Venus in Pisces on March 14 providing us with even more breathing room for our dreams and visions of a brighter tomorrow.

 

March 19-21:  Spring Equinox Sun enters Aries. The spring season arrives with brilliance as the Sun and Moon wax to fullness forming a cardinal cross to transiting Pluto in Capricorn and Mars in Cancer.  As we take our first breaths in this new season, we are acutely aware that our world has changed in recent months, and there is little resemblance between our lives now and one year ago.

ASTRO EVENTS - - FEBUARY 2008

February 1:  Venus conjoins Jupiter in Capricorn.  The hours just before dawn appear even brighter with Venus joining Jupiter to greet the Sun as it rises on the eastern horizon.  This event is an alluring prelude to next week’s Solar Eclipse.

 

February 6:  Solar Eclipse New Moon in Aquarius.  The Chinese New Year of “The Rat” is celebrated under this month’s New Moon. In the United States the air will be abuzz with Super Tuesday election results as Chiron closely conjoins retrograde Mercury encouraging the resolution of differences between winners and losers in the interest of moving forward.

 

February 17:  Venus enters Aquarius.  Venus returns to Aquarius just as the Sun is about to leave the sign of fellowship and Mercury prepares to turn direct making for a two day shift in this month’s energies paving the way for the Lunar Eclipse.

 

February 18:  Mercury turns direct in Aquarius.  Our communications with others can now resume with fewer delays and less frustration especially those dependent upon on electronics as a bridge.

 

February 18-19:  Sun enters Pisces.  The Sun’s transition from Aquarius to Pisces sets the stage for an imminent Lunar Eclipse in Virgo. Those with a planetary emphasis in the early degrees of Pisces, Gemini, Virgo, and Sagittarius will experience these next few days more noticeably than others.

 

February 20:  Total Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Virgo.  A brilliant Lunar Eclipse amplifies the energies already set in motion under the February 6th New Moon of the Chinese New Year. It might be helpful for some of us to refer to events in our lives during last Lunar Eclipse on August 28, 2007.  Are we truly complete with all that was happening then?   Today’s eclipse represents a good time to enter 2008 in earnest.

January 2008

January 2: Mars in Gemini opposes Pluto in Sagittarius. The New Year begins with a Star Wars clash between the celestial titans Mars and Pluto. Outside events and exchanges with others can make us feel less than festive during the first week of January, so it’s a good time to stay clear of any conflicted situations.

January 7: Mercury enters Aquarius. Our thoughts have more room to roam as Mercury arrives in Aquarius. Distances between us are bridged through electronic communications, but may become more frustrating after Mercury turns retrograde on the 28th.

January 8: New Moon in Capricorn. The first New Moon of 2008 is in Capricorn supporting business and commercial initiatives for the year ahead. This lunation corresponds with formally communicating intentions and business plans in writing to be followed by actions in the year ahead.

January 20: Sun enters Aquarius. The Sun’s arrival in Aquarius accents friendship and socializing in the month ahead.

January 22: Full Moon in Leo quincunx transiting Pluto. The Full Moon in Leo lights the way for Pluto’s passage from Sagittarius into Capricorn for the first time in 242 years.

January 23: Venus conjoins Pluto in Sagittarius. Venus merges with Pluto as the planet of transformation completes its final hours of a dynamic 12 year journey through Sagittarius. Venus’ close union with Pluto at this time could very well symbolize the power of the universal feminine working in concert with the changes associated with Pluto’s lengthy journey through Capricorn.

January 24: Venus enters Capricorn. Venus arrives in Capricorn providing us with a reality check regarding what we value and how much of ourselves and our relationships we expend in pursuit of our external goals. The passage of Venus through Capricorn reminds us that not all that glitters is gold.

January 25: Pluto enters Capricorn. With Venus as his leading lady, Pluto makes his long anticipated return to Capricorn for the next 18 years. If historical themes truly repeat themselves, then the United States will undergo a revolution unmatched since 1776, leaving us with no doubt that we live in interesting times.

January 28: Mercury turns retrograde in Aquarius. Mercury’s first retrograde of 2008 can be best harnessed by pausing to reconsider and modify our plans in light of all the changes in the air.

January 30: Mars turns direct in Gemini. Mars moves forward after more than 2 months in reverse motion. This event gives us more impetus to step forward while continuing to review our plans and goals as Mercury remains retrograde for the next 3 weeks.

ASTRO EVENTS —- DECEMBER 2007

December 1: Mercury enters Sagittarius. The planet of communications helps lift our spirits in jovial Sagittarius for the next 3 weeks.

December 5: Venus enters Scorpio. The planet of love, beauty, and sensuality enters the sign of human magnetism and is joined by her sensitive sister, the Moon, on the same day. This deeply feminine meeting makes us aware of attractions we might otherwise not have noticed but should be cautious about revealing.

December 9: New Moon in Sagittarius. The Sun and Moon merge in the midst of an auspicious Sagittarius pageant highlighted by the imminent conjunction of Jupiter and Pluto near the Galactic Center. Whatever our earthly fears and uncertainties, it’s hard not to feel that “Something wonderful is about to happen” as we celebrate not only the holidays but also the 30th anniversary of the release of Close Encounters of the Third Kind and the discovery of Chiron. What a difference three decades can make on our small planet.

December 11: Jupiter conjunct Pluto at 28 degrees Sagittarius. Realizations of greater truths and universal governing principles take center stage both personally and collectively: What goes up must come down, and what falls is certain to rise again in some new form. It’s not really about whether things are getting better or worse as much as the necessity to allow for the restoration of balance, equilibrium, and trust.

December 18: Jupiter enters Capricorn. Jupiter bids farewell to its own sign and paves the way for a succession of planets to enter Capricorn during the next month. With so much focused in the sign of responsibility and institutional authority during 2008, it is certain that changes and reform are in store for any ivory tower out of touch with its constituency.

December 19: Saturn turns retrograde in Virgo. On the eve of a holiday gathering in Capricorn, its ruling planet Saturn retraces his steps until early May of 2008. Saturn retrograde is a good time to review what we have experienced and learned since it entered Virgo last September.

December 20: Mercury enters Capricorn. Our thoughts move from festivities to the more traditional and practical as Mercury enters Capricorn. Year end tax planning and how to pay for seasonal shopping are just two of many timely considerations as we complete the year.

December 21: Winter Solstice Sun enters Capricorn. The dawn of the winter becomes a busy intersection with the Sun, Mercury, and Jupiter gathering in the first 3 degrees of Capricorn with Pluto soon to follow. It’s hard to believe this will be just another ordinary winter season as major changes loom on the horizon.

December 23: Full Moon in Cancer. A brilliant Full Moon just after the darkest day of the year in the northern hemisphere may bring a welcome “luster of midday to objects below…” However, our “long winter naps” will have to wait, as this lunation aligns with Mars in Cancer to oppose three planets in Capricorn along with Pluto making for more restlessness than silence in our nights.

December 31: Mars retrograde enters Gemini. Mars greets the New Year by stepping from Cancer back into Gemini where it left off on September 28th. Retrograde planets may coincide with us slowing down in our lives, but Father Time steps ever forward, undeterred in his march.

ADDRESS NUMEROLOGY

All numbers carry a spiritual, vibrational frequency that exerts a subconscious influence over our lives. The energy given off by your home’s personal address number enhances your own individual energy based on the vibration that that number carries. Esoteric Wisdom of the Tarot

Tarot….the name has been around for centuries.What is it about the mystification and fascination that has surrounded these cards for over 500 years?

The history of the Tarot belongs to the Western Mystery Tradition, and is a controversial issue, partly for reasons such as place of origin and the century in which it first appeared. According to history the Tarot originated in northern Italy in the 15th century, and this would be where the earliest names for the Tarot started. Intially the cards were known as “Carte Da Trinofi”, or the ” cards of the triumphs” Almost 100 years later a new game of triumphs was introduced and they were known as tarocchi, in which these cards were different, instead of very lavish hand painted decks from the courts of nobility, “tarocchi” was being played with ordinary playing cards.

In today’s society, Tarot is highly popular, filled with knowledge and wisdom portrayed in pictures and symbols. Within the mystical deck, it is divided into two groups, the major and minor arcana. The major arcana consist of 22 cards, which is the core of the deck. When these cards appear in a reading take notice. They are a representation of our lessons and obstacles which are presented throughout our lives. The minor arcana contains the remaining 56 cards, and represent our emotions, concerns, and our everyday events in life.

The 78 cards offer us the chance to explore our subconscious and learn from it in order to enhance our lives. It can give the seeker a way to live a more spiritual life offering a journey of self-discovery and fulfillment.

COMMON GROUND - US and THEM

As psychic and spiritual practitioners, we have the enormous privilege of being capable of forging connections with people on a soul level, regardless of their racial, cultural, or geographical background. Because we understand, as spiritual beings, that all are linked in the fabric of life, we can put aside any preconceived notions about another human being, and reach them at their deepest level.

In this exciting time of globalization, this is becoming a crucial skill. Reaching beyond a person’s skin color, religious affiliation, cultural background, or geographical location can allow us to create understanding, and foster compassion for one another.

As psychics, we have a responsibility to serve the human race in whatever way our talents allow. Thankfully, in these very complex times, we are able to transcend the usual roadblocks to understanding that many people struggle with. We have the ability to know a person’s soulprint, to reach them on a universal level, and tend to spiritual wounds that require great empathy.

How can you foster this in yourself? It doesn’t come naturally. We are all conditioned to think in terms of ‘us’, and ‘them’. We are socialized to think of ‘us’ in familiar, friendly terms, and as ‘them’ as unknown, unfriendly, unfamiliar. This xenophobia is, unfortunately, a natural state for human beings, however, it is not only possible to transcend this natural tendency: we are obligated by virtue of our gifts to do so.

Here’s a suggested exercise that may help you to increase your level of empathy for other cultures:

1) Do some research. Pick a culture you know nothing about and familiarize yourself with it. Try celebrating one of their holy days, or meditating on one of their religious practices or deities.

2) Set aside some quiet time, and light a candle. Sit straight with your eyes closed and breathe deeply. First, imagine the edges of your body becoming softer, smudging, blending in with the air in the room around you. Imagine yourself as a collection of cells, and, as you become comfortable with this idea, imagine your own molecular structure. As you become aware of yourself as a collection of neutrons and protons, all spinning and moving as though they are planets in orbit, remind yourself that so it is with all things. At our core, at the very foundation of our being, we are made of the same stuff.

These basic exercises will expand your already compassionate nature to include those of other cultures and backgrounds. It will also help in increasing the accuracy of long distance readings, reinforcing as it does the idea that we are all connected regardless of where we live, what we believe, or what we practice.

FREE WILL

When a psychic tunes in or a reader lays out the tarot cards, he or she is seeing the future only in terms of the possibilities. Because of where you are in your life, some of the possibilities are stronger than others and these are the ones that are most likely to manifest. But the possibility that ultimately manifests depends entirely on you.

We all possess free will to shape and sculpt our destinies in whatever way we choose. If you do not like your reading, take positive and determined steps to change it. There are a number of ways to do this.

Visualize what you want through whatever method works the best for you. Then infuse the visualization with as much imagination you can.

Take whatever steps necessary to realign your life so that its more in keeping with what you wish to accomplish.

Identify with what is holding you back and work to change them. Begin by making small gestures that show your belief in your ability to achieve what you most desire. If your looking for the perfect mate, for example, list the qualities you want in this person. Strive to bring your own life into line with those qualities as well.

Perfect the area of manifestation by starting with small goals.

The dictionary defines power as “the ability to do, the capacity to act; a specific ability or faculty; a person or thing having great influence, for or authority.” The problem with this definition is that it does not mention that power, yours or anyone’s else’s, stems from this moment, this second, this instant of your life, this now.

The present is what you are living. Personal empowerment begins now, this second!

October 7-8: Venus enters Virgo. The passage of Venus through Virgo brings grace to our health, work, and even our relationships with pets. We are reminded that we can be of better service to others after we have attended to our own personal needs and well being.

October 9: Jupiter in Sagittarius square Uranus in Pisces. Unexpected opportunities and windfalls may manifest as pleasant surprises, as the planet of fortune brushes with planet of sudden changes.

October 10-11: New Moon in Libra. A New Moon in the sign of relationships wants to make friends and begin new partnerships, but this year the process may be a bit frustrating as Mercury turns retrograde. It’s best to take our time and find consolation in knowing that anything worth having is worth waiting for.

October 11-12: Mercury turns retrograde in Scorpio. Mercury steps backwards for the next 3 weeks, so pay close attention to details and communications to help ensure that you are treated rather than tricked this Halloween.

October 19: Chiron turns direct in Aquarius. After five months in retrograde, Chiron moves forward to remind us of the tender areas not only in ourselves but in the greater social order. Where are the wounds that must be healed in order to enjoy a happier existence both personally and collectively on this planet we call earth?

October 23: Sun enters Scorpio. The second month of autumn officially begins with the Sun’s entry into Scorpio. The falling of leaves and the final harvests are conspicuous reminders that even nature takes time to rest from her work.

October 25: Full Moon in Taurus. The days may be getting shorter, but the nights will be brighter under the Full Moon during the last week of October. This is an especially enchanting time to put gardens to bed.

October 31: Neptune turns direct in Aquarius. Our collective consciousness reawakens as Neptune moves forward in Aquarius after five months in retrograde dreamland. Something greater is at work in the social order prompting us to become much more aware of our interrelatedness during the next six months.

TEA LEAF READING

As a child I knew my family was different but considered psychic ability a part of everyday life. From an early age I would often walk to my grandmothers house on weekends and would watch her give tea cup readings to neighbors and friends. She never charged money for it but was known for her accuracy. She would always refer to psychic ability as the second sight , a gift in our family given by God in order to help others on their journey through life. I learned the ancient art of tea leave reading from her.

It takes a vivid imagination and a keen eye to see what shapes are in a cup but it also takes intuition or psychic ability to know what you are seeing is correct, and a good memory to memorize what the different symbols mean. Everyone possesses a certain amount of intuition, however it is far more developed in some people than others. The more we use that ability the better we get at it just like anything we do in life.

Tea leaf reading requires a medium sized cup with no pattern on the inside of it and loose tea leaves which can be purchased at tea shops. Alternately, you can open a tea bag and use the leaves inside. Teas such as green, black or herbal teas can be used. Each will form their own distinct shapes in a cup and with practice, a reader will discover which tea they prefer. Although some readers do allow it, it is strongly advisable to not use cream or sugar in the cup.|

A reading always starts at the handle of the cup which represents the person and their home. It also represents what is going on in the present, and the direction “North”. As you read, go in a clockwise direction until you reach the handle again. Then, read the bottom of the cup which represents events that will happen a year from the date of the reading. In order to learn the meanings of certain symbols, books can be obtained with a list of symbols and their meanings, though a lot of meanings are just common sense. For example, airplanes depict travel; a telephone depicts an important call, etc. Some symbols have meanings that are age old symbols such as mice, which depict theft or loss and birds which depict good news .

PRECOGNITIVE DREAMS

One of the most thought provoking and mysterious types of dreams we can have are the ones that come true. Known as precognition from the Latin word praemonere meaning to warn in advance, these dreams give us a glimpse of a future event, for which we usually have little control to change or prevent. Many of us have had dreams of this nature. The most common ones are about natural disasters, the death of a loved one, or of an every day scenario that happens exactly as we had foreseen. Sometimes we remember the dream right after we have it, while other times we remember the dream only after the event takes place. Either way, precognitive dreams can leave us feeling out of sorts; they shake us out of our ordinary every day routine, and cause us to start asking ourselves questions that may at first seem scary and uncomfortable.

Until we understand why these dreams come to us, they have the ability to unnerve the novice and long-term dream interpreter alike. When I have a dream about a future event of a terrible scenario that I cannot change I ask myself why do I even have it then in the first place? I want to fix the problem, change the ending, warn the person that something bad is coming their way and do something to step in and help. But these dreams aren’t given to us for that purpose. The major events in our life offer us learning experiences that hasten our soul’s evolution and certain life lessons cannot be taken away from us just because we are made aware of them beforehand. Dreams like this help soften the blow and help us to prepare for the event, they are an actual part of the preparation and the learning process and allows us hopefully to help others who aren’t as prepared as we are.

There is another type of precognitive dream that is often referred to as a déjà vu experience. In this case we will dream about an every day scene only to have it come to pass down to the most minute detail including time of day, words exchanged, music in the background and the clothing we are wearing. How fun it is to have these dreams! Embrace them because they are pointing out the fact that we are still on the same life path as we were when we originally had the dream. Are we happy about we we’re going? Are there things about the direction of our life that we would like to change? Déjà vu dreams offer us the opportunity to stop for a moment, take stock of where we’re going and ask ourselves whether or not we want to continue down this path.

Precognitive dreams are gifts from our higher selves. While we are asleep we are tuning into a high level of consciousness that allows us a peek at our future. They are never meant to scare us, just teach us. They are given to us because our higher selves want us to become more aware of our higher levels of mind and guide us to the realization that there is so much more to this universe than what is shown to us through our five senses. Precognitive dreams are the proof of that. If you would like to have more dreams of the future, then mentally ask for them before going to sleep at night. Keeping a dream journal is a great way to document them and will provide you with the evidence of their existence.

THE PSYCHIC AND THE ELEPHANT

The Blond Woman and the Elephant

I turned 50 this year and decided to celebrate by going to India. India’s culture has touched my life impressively over the years. My mother did yoga in the sixties, the Beatles went there in the seventies. My social studies teacher invited a group of Hare Krishna adherents to sing for my class. I cured a broken heart by studying yoga. Finally the food, I had worked for several years in an Indian restaurant and when in London, it was the only food I could find to eat.

I work at a veterinarian’s clinic as a kennel assistant I and don’t make a lot of money. However, I knew that somehow I was going to make it there for my birthday. Many amazing events happened over the 8 months before that date. People gave me money, I got a raise and a bonus and a friend lent me the money for the air fare. Two weeks before the big date, I landed in Mumbai.

The highlight of the trip and why I told everyone I was going was to bathe an elephant, whatever happened before or after was icing on the cake. My visit was centered in the southern part of the country on the Arabian Sea and, for the most part, I stayed with families. Throughout the journey I met a wide variety of people—teachers, auto-rickshaw drivers, Marxists, Syrian Christians and Brahmin Hindus. I noticed that, even though I never brought up the subject, everyone had something to say about their own spirituality. Not only that but it was everywhere painted beautifully and garishly on semis, on fences, sides of buildings. Altars were in all homes and businesses—not all of them Hindu. Shrines to various Gods and Saints lined the highways. This atmosphere put me in the mood to believe in miracles and to trust my intuition.

The first elephant I met was a working one, he gave rides to tourists. He was delivered with his trainer to one of the homes I stayed at where some other guests had expressed interest in riding him. He seemed intelligent but bored and laconic, “Another westerner,” he seemed his attitude. But then I met the temple elephants I was to help bathe. They walked in single file down the tiny village’s one street on their way to the river. There were 7 of them, all orphans of varying ages. At the river, their mahouts (trainers) had them lie on their sides as they scrubbed them with coconut shells. They handed me a shell of my own and I jumped in there too. The one I was scrubbing was about ten years old. He sensed someone new, probably inexperienced, was there. He explored with his trunk and found my wrist and grasped it very gently but firmly, pulling me to his face. There he explored my head, arms, hair and jewelry. The entire time we looked each other in the eyes. He unstrapped my velcro river sandals and tried to get them off my feet. I stroked his huge head, scratching a bit behind the ears. All around me, trunks were reaching out to see who and what I was. One of them sprayed me with his trunk in an attempt to get my attention amid their trainers laughter. At the end, I suddenly noticed a group of tourists standing on the beach, wanting to do what I was doing but too intimidated by the sheer size of the animals. As they began to leave, my elephant friend took a few steps toward me as if to say, “I’ll go with her”. His trainer stopped him and chuckled.

I remember thinking to myself that my entire life has led up to this point and here I was 50 years old. I had no regrets, no wishes and no plans, all I had was the perfect moment and that made everything worthwhile.

BEING A PROFESSIONAL PSYCHIC

Many of us who work as psychics receive information through thought and symbology and often use divination tools to help us do that. Tarot cards, crystals, numbers, the stars - these are all examples of the kinds of tools many psychics work with. “Symbology” is the language of the subconscious mind and your subconscious will use images which it knows you can relate toon some level. It does take some effort to interpret the images you see as they have different layers of meaning, and often reflect a variety of possibilities. We have to use analysis, intuition, and empathy in the interpretation process.

The absolute most important thing to remember is to approach psychic ability or any divination tool with common sense. Anyone can provide psychic/intuitive information, however the ability to provide this kind of information doesn’t necessarily qualify anyone to be a counselor or an advisor to others. To demonstrate the psychic ability without proper awareness of how to apply that knowledge beneficially makes is irresponsible and dangerous. Any psychic tool or ability should be used responsibly to aid others and not for any other reason!

It is crucial to be professional and treat every client with respect and consideration. Don’t embarrass or preach at your clients. Direct them. Provide guidance and suggestions and allow them to ask questions. It is not the psychic’s role to make decisions for the client. Always present information in encouraging and open-ended ways.

A professional is never rude, impatient, or disapproving. Develop objective detachment. Remove your personal opinions and personal judgements. It will make you more effective if you forget yourself while reading and only focus on the client. Remember that you are an outsider looking into another person’s life, but you are an outsider who can very strongly affect another’s life. With that in mind, be warm and approachable, and the counseling will become easier and more productive for you and your client. If you follow this logic and are a responsible reader then you will no doubt have more call backs and happier clients.

(B)-Is one who will while tuning in will express their psychic information in a non threatening, productive, and receptive manner.

(c)-Is someone who will express information in a manner that is understood by the client. Vague readings are bad readings.

(D)-Is someone who will provide insight, new possibilities and beneficial options or courses of action with regard to the situation.

(E)-Is someone who will do all of this without intruding upon the free will of the client.

Remember that your developed abilities are a gift. Use them with reverence, and respect for yourself, and your clientelle.

THE VIRGO CYCLE

This year’s Virgo cycle has every indication of being more spectacular than even the best fireworks display. A total lunar eclipse in Pisces on August 28th sets the tone for the final month of the summer season. The lunar eclipse opposes Saturn as it completes its 2 year passage through Leo, and is followed by a solar eclipse that will greet Saturn’s return to the sign of Virgo for the first time since 1980. The combined effects of both eclipses are likely to stir up emotions for anyone with an emphasis in the mutable signs of Pisces, Gemini, Virgo, and Sagittarius. This is a good period to be mindful of our health by consciously maintaining a balance between our work and personal well being. Saturn’s tour through Virgo during the next 2 years will insist that we be realistic in dealing with any imbalances that surface in our awareness during this eclipse cycle.
Pluto turns direct in Sagittarius on September 7th after 5 months of retrograde motion. Pluto’s step forward adds fuel to the changes already in the air with the eclipses and Saturn’s arrival in Virgo. As if the Virgo cycle isn’t already busy enough, the solar eclipse on September 11th will closely oppose Uranus, the planet of unexpected changes, and square expansive Jupiter in Sagittarius. This T-square alignment suggests something greater than any one individual’s experience, and could very well signify a collective initiation. An ominous parallel exists between this solar eclipse and the transformative societal events of September 11, 2001: The solar eclipse will occur on September 11, 2007 at 5:31 am just before dawn on the Pacific Coast of the United States. This timing places the eclipse within a fraction of a degree of the exact same longitude of the Sun’s position at 18 degrees Virgo on the morning of the infamous “911” wake up call in 2001.
The 2007 Virgo cycle even saves some its fireworks for a grand finale T-square between the Sun in Virgo and a combustible opposition of Mars in Gemini and Pluto in Sagittarius during September 20-21. Perhaps now we can all get some rest?
